Mahomes Sr., the father of Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, created a bit of a stir when video emerged of a squabble with former baseball player John Rocker on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.

Raising a son who pursued his dreams of being a star athlete was not easy for Randi Mahomes. It was even more difficult for her after she divorced her husband, Patrick Mahomes Sr., in 2006.

A former athlete herself, Randi married Pat Mahomes Sr., a longtime MLB pitcher, and helped raise three children, including Patrick, his brother Jackson and half-sister Mia.
