The Oyster Bay Forward Grant Program is thanks to federal funds secured by the town, according to a news release. Beginning Nov. 29, businesses and nonprofits can apply for $5,000 grants.
A $300,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will be used to grow oysters in Oyster Bay and Cold Spring harbors, as well as Manhasset Bay and Hempstead Harbor.
