One Piece Foreshadowed a Second Brook Backstory in Chapter 489 In the final chapter of the Thriller Bark Arc, 489, Brook made a formal introduction to the Straw Hat Pirates before joining their crew.

In one of the images, Brook can be seen telling a young Gunko that he wants to become a pirate. From their interaction, it seems plausible to assume that Brook left his position to pursue his dream.

Brook's extended backstory could reveal ties to the World Government and shed light on its secrets. Fans hope for an exploration of Brook's younger life in One Piece, similar to Sanji's backstory.
