FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CBS12) — Tens of thousands of Florida Panthers fans will descend on Fort Lauderdale this weekend to help the team celebrate its second straight Stanley Cup win.

On Thursday, the Lakeland-based chain opened a 29,495 square-foot store at 2895 N. Ocean Blvd., about a block south of East Oakland Park Boulevard and a stone’s throw from Fort Lauderdale’s beach.

Damjan Vasic will start his nearly 80-mile journey taking off from Bimini in the Bahamas, and paddle boarding all the way to Lake Worth Beach in a test of strength, endurance, and heart.
