PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — The Florida Forest Service continues to respond to wildfires in Putnam County that have been burning for days. It’s happening near State Road 19 and National Forest Road 74.

The US Forest Service has reported heavy smoke on County Road 42. Drivers should proceed with caution. Water drops are being conducted by the USFS helicopter to cool the fire down.

It’s happening near State Road 19 and National Forest Road 74. FFS said one is the Bobcat Trail Fire and one is the Mondex Wildfire.
