As the saying goes, "If you want things done properly, do them yourself." This is exactly what the owner of this matte black S15 Nissan Silvia Spec R has done.

Like the G35, the S15 was fitted with JIC FLT-A2 coilovers all around, custom front spindles, and a host of trick suspension components and steering modification.

Nissan pulled the plug on the Silvia in the early 2000s, leaving its 350Z to carry the company’s enthusiast reputation until the GT-R returned. But neither car had a particularly low price point.

Brill Steel Motorsports swapped a 480 hp Ls3 into a Nissan Silvia S14 chassis and tuned it to 730 hp and 896 lb-ft of torque with a Lamborghini Trofeo support.

The 200SX’s success here saw the final 1999-2002 ‘S15’ version in only two countries – Nissan’s home market of Japan, and Australia – much to the disappointment of enthusiasts elsewhere.
