CBS, Nickelodeon and other channels owned by Paramount will soon go dark on YouTube TV, as negotiations continue for both companies after they failed to reach a contract renewal to distribute Paramount’s channels on the streaming service.

Media giant Paramount Global's channels, including CBS and Nickelodeon, will be unavailable on YouTube TV starting Thursday after the two companies failed to reach a contract renewal, both parties said.

Paramount Global is warning of a looming carriage impasse with YouTube TV, meaning channels such as CBS, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and others could go dark Thursday for millions of subscribers.
