Kevin Skwira-Brown has two children at Nettleton Magnet School, which focuses on reading, science and technology. His family lives outside the attendance area and uses district busing.

NETTLETON – Nettleton High School students, teachers, parents and staff were recognized Dec. 16 for their roles in helping the school achieve an A rating reflective of the 2023-2024 school year.

Nettleton High School 2023 Salutatorian Blake Peters gives his speech to his graduating class during the Friday evening ceremony. He focused on his pride for his class and their bond through learning.

It not only measured the effectiveness of an entire school, it also measure the school’s effectiveness with subpopulations: boys, girls, Blacks, whites, Hispanics, slow learners, fast learners, etc.
