Today’s four groups followed a deceptively simple theme structure: each one related to an ordinal number, First, Second, Third, and Last, but figuring that out required more than just a hunch.

Connections debuted on the New York Times platform in June 2023. Its concept is deceptively straightforward: players must group 16 words into four sets of four based on shared themes, while avoiding more than four errors.
