MSRON-11 will be the fourth unit stationed in Southern California. There are three units in San Diego, one in Everett, Wash. and one in Guam as part of the West Coast/Pacific team.

MSRON 4 is headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Navy maritime expeditionary security forces protect U.S. assets in and near ports, harbors and coastal waterways, the release notes.

During their deployment to Rota, Spain, MSRON 4 executed 14 Aircraft Security Team Missions and nine Embark Security Team Missions in support of over 50 countries.
