Mobile phone users spent more than 180 billion hours on apps for each month of July, August and September, according to a new report from app data and analytics website App Annie.

After the acquisition, App Annie will have nearly 600,000 apps relying on its analytics tools, representing 270,000 business users, an increase of about 130,000 apps and 50,000 users.

Personal finance apps have also seen momentous growth in usage, with 77% of all end users accessing banking products via apps by December 2021 — the highest percentage of app use among industries.
