Another of his fondest memories of the Mission Beach spot is the Plunge, where he learned to swim. He took a swim class and even jumped off the old high dive.

To begin, park at Mission Point Park, located at 2600 Bayside Lane, at the south end of Mission Boulevard. Parking is also available in a lot near South Mission Beach, off North Jetty Road.
