MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota State Patrol this week will debut its new logo after state officials retired the old state seal that once was the central image on trooper patches, badges and squad cars.

The hats also feature an outline of the state of Minnesota with a blue and yellow color scheme. The logo also contains the North Star, which is placed on the location of the Twin Cities.

Before Vice President Kamala Harris announced on social media that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz would be her running mate, her campaign had already updated its website with a new Harris-Walz logo.
