Islanders star Mat Barzal is on pace to average a point per game for the first time since his Calder Trophy-winning entrance onto the NHL scene, despite a full-time move to the wing.

Barzal has been producing at just under a point-per-game rate this season. He has 51 points in 58 games. Bo Horvat and Brock Nelson are the only two on the team that have more points than Barzal.
