South African farmers are expected to harvest 6% more maize in the 2022/2023 season compared with the previous season, the government's Crop Estimates Committee (CEC) said on Tuesday.

South Africa's maize stocks nearly doubled to 6.1 million tonnes at the end of June compared with 3.2 million tonnes at the end of May, data showed on Wednesday.
