July 4 will be celebrated in Schenectady on Friday with a series of events aimed at honoring the country’s democratic roots and promoting community engagement.

Between 10,000 and 15,000 spectators are expected to flood Marietta Square Friday for the city’s annual Fourth of July celebration and Let Freedom Ring parade, presented by Superior Plumbing.
