The Olathe Leadership Lowrider Bike Club returned home last week from the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in Washington, D.C., where they participated in an event focused on youth and future culture.

For years, lowriders were thought to be tied to gangs and drugs. They're now being seen more as positive cultural symbols and moving art exhibits as perceptions around them have improved.
