A LinkedIn post purportedly written by the lovable red Muppet — in which Elmo says he “was recently laid off because of the federal budget cuts” — has gone viral on social media.
Apparently, the latest round of federal budget cuts have reached Sesame Street. On Thursday, a LinkedIn post from the account someone made for Elmo from Sesame Street began going viral.
The post also urges people reach out to congress to help save public broadcasting. Elmo has helped us through tough times before. Hopefully, it's the same here. This is brilliant.
