“I wasn’t married to a monster — I was married to someone who got sick,” Patrick Clancy, 36, who now lives in Midtown Manhattan, told The New Yorker for an article published Monday.

Lindsay had sought help from several postpartum-mental-health specialists, but Patrick said, to his knowledge, she never received more than a severe diagnosis of generalized anxiety disorder.
