A brand-new event makes August 2025 a busy month for music buffs in Door County, which now has its first-ever jazz festival to join two long-running classical music festivals and a daylong blues bash.

Lehrer, who died July 26, wrote numerous satirical songs, including "Pollution" and "The Vatican Rag." In the latter half of his life, he also taught math at Harvard and MIT.
