The Coliseum will be the first venue to host three Olympic Opening Ceremonies. It was the site for the Opening Ceremonies for the Summer Olympics in 1932, 1984 and will be the site in 2028.

The Olympic Closing Ceremony will be July 30, 2028, at the LA Memorial Coliseum. The Paralympic Opening Ceremony will ignite in the stadium in Inglewood on Aug. 15, 2028.
