In recent months, State Farm — California's largest home insurer — dropped thousands of policyholders. Some have turned to the state's insurer of last resort.

Sarver’s La Vigneta Winery earned a best-in-show in the dessert wine category with its Mango Amore. “It has a very clean, fresh mango flavor,” said La Vigneta owner Francesa Howden of Sarver.

State Farm says, as of June 10, they've fielded more than 12,800 claims related to the LA fires, paying out over $3.96 billion to Californian policyholders.

State Farm Insurance Group said this week that it has paid out $1.75 billion on approximately 9,500 claims filed as a result of the January wildfires in Los Angeles County.
