As Jurassic World movies tend to do, Rebirth features callbacks to a number of films in the franchise. However, it pays particular homage to the original—and greatest dinosaur movie to ever do it— Jurassic Park. Here are six of the best nods to Steven Spielberg's 1993 classic.

Jurassic World Rebirth was written by longtime Spielberg collaborator David Koepp, screenwriter on Jurassic Park and its 1997 sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park. While Steven Spielberg hasn't directed an entry since The Lost World, he has executive-produced every sequel since — and Rebirth is no exception.

“Jurassic World Rebirth” captures the awe and majesty of the overgrown lizards that's been lacking for so many of the movies, which became just an endless cat-and-mouse in the dark between scared humans against T-Rexes or raptors. “Jurassic World Rebirth” lets in the daylight.
