Shooters ages 12-20 competed in two shooting events in Hillsdale College’s Margot V. Biermann Athletic Center. The top shooters will earn spots on the Junior National Rifle team.

Next month, as repeat state champions in air rifle and small-bore rifle competition, the three girls will compete in the National Junior Olympic Championships (21 and younger) in Hillsdale, Michigan.

Only 200 shooters qualify to Junior Olympics this month in three divisions combined, boys and girls. If the best 200 scores came from the oldest division, those would be the qualifiers.

Fort Benning's Andrea Vautrin, a 17-year-old junior at Chattahoochee County High School, took second place in the precision class. "There were some really tough competitors," Vautrin said.
