The soon-to-be-former Jackson Memorial High School’s mascot, the jaguar, will serve as the new mascot for Jackson Township High School, under a plan adopted by the school board April 30.

The junior will play in a much bigger tournament, because she qualified this week for the 80th U.S. Women’s Open Championship to be held May 29-June 1.
