Jeff Nichols, the original director of A Quiet Place: Day One, has revealed what made him leave the project after he had been hired as a writer and director by John Krasinski himself.

Nichols, known for his films "Loving," "Take Shelter" and "Mud," co-wrote the script with photographer/filmmaker Danny Lyon, whose photo book of the same title inspired the film.

The school, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year, is being honored with the 2025 Joseph Jefferson Special Award at the 51st Non-Equity Awards at the Harris Theater, 205 E. Randolph.
