Chennai: The 'fish' sign in the Indus script has been the subject of various studies, mostly relating it to the fish itself and its social and cultural implications.
Along the Indus River in what is now known as northwest India and Pakistan, a civilization emerged more than 5,300 years ago.
The script, which is a collection of some 600 symbols discovered so far, has been found on seals, tablets, and most importantly, an odd sign board from Gujarat's Dholavira.
Stalin said the Indus Valley Civilisation's (IVC) discovery announcement by Sir John Marshall in 1924 was a turning point in the history of Indian subcontinent.
