The job fair takes place during the IDPH’s “30 Days of Public Health” event. It’s a month-long celebration of public health activities.

According to IDPH, there have been four confirmed measles cases in Southern Illinois and two unrelated adult cases in Cook County, for a total of six in the state this year.

IDPH stressed the risk of measles infection to the public remains low. The case was confirmed Wednesday via a lab test. It marks the first case in the state in 2025.
