ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - I-75 was shut down in both directions in Bartow County near Cartersville on Thursday morning as law enforcement investigated a severe crash.
Investigators initially closed I-75 in both directions, but reopened the northbound side around 5:07 a.m. The southbound lanes reopened just before 6:30 a.m.
Once the barriers are in place, three lanes of southbound traffic will be shifted to the right side of I-75 south. This traffic pattern is expected to stay in effect until fall 2026.
