Iraqi captain Younis Mahmoud scored the winner in the 71st minute when he climbed above the defence at the far post and headed a perfectly-weighted corner from Hawar Mulla Mohammed into the net.

In the 67th minute, Hawar Mulla Mohammed slammed a bouncing ball into the net from 18 yards to put Iraq ahead, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

Hawar Mulla Mohammad put Iraq back in front after 58 minutes and substitute Karrar Jassim Mohammed sealed victory with a tap-in goal five minutes from time. "A lot of people in Iraq will be happy.
