One of the most vibrant snakes, the green tree python can be found in New Guinea, Indonesia, and Australia's Cape York Peninsula. It is non-poisonous and will spend most of its life curled on trees.

Like most other constrictors it can also drop from a branch above to fall directly on its supper. Green tree pythons can survive in captivity for up to 25 years, in nature 15 years is about normal.
