Peterborough MP Andrew Pakes has vowed that the city’s historic Great Northern Hotel will not be used again as a refuge for asylum seekers.

The general manager of the Great Northern Hotel says there have been no talks with the city council over the site’s future after the authority refused to rule out seeing it demolished in the future.
