Grand Canyon Railway schedule From Jan. 1 to Oct. 31, the Grand Canyon Railway leaves Williams at 9:30 a.m. and arrives at Grand Canyon at 11:45 a.m.

The NPS recommends avoiding hiking the Grand Canyon's inner trails between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when temperatures are at their peak.

Grand Canyon West is separate from the South Rim, North Rim, and East Rim cluster, both physically and legally. It's on Hualapai land, which means national park passes and perks don't apply.
