WHAT: "Divan Japonais," a popular advertising poster designed by French artist Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, brought $40,000 when it sold at Swann Galleries in New York this summer.

It is an old French advertising poster for a Latin Quarter cabaret. Because it is one of only five known examples, it is expected to bring $80,000 to $100,000 at the auction.
