To date, Ford is aware of a single field report involving a 2025 model year Bronco Sport. Owners are to be informed by first-class mail of the problem between February 10, 2025 and February 14, 2025.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport will arrive in US dealerships in November, initially available in Big Bend, Outer Banks, and Badlands trims. The Sasquatch models are set to follow in Q1 2025.

As for the Escape, that's 140,968 deliveries as opposed to 137,370 in 2022 (2.6 percent more). Both the Bronco Sport and Escape can be had with other engines, of course!

Ford said Thursday that it is working with the NHTSA during its investigation. The company said the Bronco Sport and Escape recall is an extension of a 2022 recall for the same problem.

Nearly 43,000 vehicles are impacted by the recall, including the 2022 Escape and the 2022 and 2023 Bronco Sport editions that have 1.5L engines.

According to NHTSA, the recall affects 15,355 Bronco Sports SUVs from model years 2021–2023, as well as 18,221 2020–2022 model year Escape SUVs with the base 1.5-liter engine.
