Xbox fans don't need to wait any longer to play Final Fantasy XVI on their Series X/S. Two years after the action RPG debuted on PS5, it got a surprise release on Xbox's consoles on Sunday.

Square Enix announced Final Fantasy XVI is now available on the Xbox Series X|S and PC via Xbox PC. Final Fantasy XVI is currently available on the PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

The game is an enhanced version of Final Fantasy VII Remake. It first launched for the PS5 in June 2021 and for PC in December 2021. It is also in development for the Nintendo Switch 2.
