Michigan’s Adventure has announced it will close for the season Monday, Sept. 1, eliminating its short-lived Tricks and Treats event that previously extended operations into October.

The weather change to a cooler northerly wind created a rapid water rise on southern Lake Michigan. This rapid water rise is called a seiche.
