Residents of Montgomery County can -- now through the end of 2025 -- receive half-price admission to the Elmwood Park Zoo, thanks to an gift from a generous local businessman.

Elmwood Park Zoo nears completion on development’s first phase Established in 1924, the Norristown-based zoo has around 300 animals, with visitors ranging from 800,000 to 1 million people each year.

Elmwood Park Zoo has been a community staple in Norristown for more than 100 years. They celebrated the centennial last summer with a brand new Welcome Center and Veterinary Hospital.
