KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A teenager was shot and killed behind a gas station in Northeast Kansas City Sunday night, according to police. The call came in just after 8:30 p.m.
A 16-year-old boy was shot late June 18 in Carson City. An 18-year-old was arrested the next day. The teen victim is expected to survive after surgery.
Update: Kansas City police identified the victim as Derrick I. Elder, 22. A man died after he was shot in a car in the Brookside neighborhood of Kansas City on Saturday night, according to police.
