The northbound side of Interstate 95 between exits 72 and 73 in East Lyme was closed after a tractor-trailer and car collided, causing the trailer to go up in flames, said state police.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the crash closed the exit 76 ramp from Interstate 95 north to I-395 north. It was first reported around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
