Dune: Awakening takes place in an alternate timeline where Paul Atreides, Dune’s protagonist, never existed. His mother, Lady Jessica, gave birth to a daughter instead of a son.

And we were getting concept art from them constantly. Then it was working both ways. We were sending work to them and getting their take on it, making sure that tonally we were correct.

The set also includes LEGO mini figures of Paul Atreides, Lady Jessica, Gurney Halleck, Chani and more. There are 1,369 pieces in this Dune LEGO set. The model airplane measures 9 x 22 x 31 inches.

We played Dune: Awakening and then spoke to Senior Art Director Gavin Whelan about bringing Arrakis to life and digital sand’s difficulties.
