Voting machines in Douglas County only had to tally 25% of registered voters’ ballots in the primary. Officials expect the machines to count 30-32% of voters’ ballots in the General Election.

The county’s three commissioners, who voted unanimously in late March to put home rule on the ballot for a June 24 special election, have said this is about local control.
