At 4:15 p.m. on May 26, Lawrence Police were called to the block of 9500 Fall Creek Road on a report of a body floating in the water. A kayaker spotted the body near the Upper Fall Creek Loop Trail.

The body was found in the water south of the Upper Fall Creek Loop Trail. The trailhead is just south of the intersection of Fall Creek Road and East 79th Street, which is a retail area.
