Downtown Houston will transform into a Western heritage celebration ahead of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo when the season kicks off with its annual Houston Rodeo Ru n and parade on March 1.

The Downtown Rodeo Parade begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, following the Rodeo Run. Spectators can see floats, marching bands and thousands on horseback take to the streets of Downtown Houston.

The Houston Pride Parade takes place from 7 to 10 p.m., starting at Smith and Lamar streets near City Hall. The route heads north on Smith, turns right on Walker, and continues to Milam.
