JOHANNESBURG, Dec 8 (Reuters) - Thabsie Mabezane, a transgender woman and LGBT+ activist in South Africa, was aware of personal safety when she met a man on the dating app Tinder earlier this year.

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. - South Fulton police have made an arrest in their investigation into a series of armed robberies targeting gay men using a popular dating app.

Dating has changed. Apps like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, Zoosk, OkCupid, CoffeeMeetsBagel, and Match have become embedded in the dating process. There are many potential partners and a lot to manage.

With over 6.5 million monthly downloads Tinder is the most popular dating app in the world, including in South Africa. But Tinder still has a reputation for being a “hook-up” app.
