In November 2023, “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time ever, 65 years after the song’s debut, and was at the top spot for three weeks.

While “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” sold well throughout the ‘50s and early ‘60s, it wasn’t until 1990 that the song achieved its current standing as a cross-generational anthem.

Last Christmas Brenda Lee set several important chart milestones when her 1958 holiday single "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree" hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the first time.

And Christmas is marked by their elaborate tree display. “We don’t ever remember it not being set up at our home when I was young,” Renae Schermetzler said.
