Shimko will replace Will Harriger, who the Panthers hired as their quarterbacks coach last year. Shimko and head coach Brian Schottenheimer worked together in Seattle in 2018-19.

Dallas ultimately hired Klayton Adams as OC, his first coordinator position at the NFL level. Schottenheimer will call plays on offense for the Cowboys in 2025, but contributions from the remainder of his staff will of course be key in the team’s efforts to rebound from a poor showing this past year.
