Indonesia has banned another flagship smartphone in the country. After a few days of blocking the iPhone 16 series, it has stepped forward to halt the Google Pixel sale.
A restriction on the country’s sales states that smartphones must consist of 40% locally manufactured components. Google’s Pixel devices do not meet that standard.
Samsung ranked fourth in Indonesia with a 16% share, tied with Vivo, another Chinese brand, the Canalys data showed. Excluding China and Japan, just under 8% of Apple's sales come from Asia-Pacific.
