The Council on Aging opened a new dining site on July 27. For nearly six decades, local nonprofit Council on Aging of Volusia County has helped seniors in the community.

The Volusia County Council approved an ordinance requiring a minimum of $500,000 in liability coverage for owners of dogs classified as dangerous in unincorporated areas, Pierson, and Oak Hill.
