A large brush fire that erupted near Lake Piru in Ventura County and spread into Los Angeles County continued to burn on Saturday, though crews made significant progress with containment.

CCFD Battalion Chief Scott Marsh said it happened just after 8 p.m. at the Baypoint apartments on Ennis Joslin. Neighbors told KRIS 6 the occupants of the apartment had just moved in the night before.
